How to bet on Stake: sportsbook guide

A match, a selection, a slip: follow your bet from the Sports menu to My Bets.

A match caught your eye? Open Sports, choose your selection and add it to the bet slip. Let us take a fictional example: a home win at odds of 2.00 with a €10 bet. Here is how that bet moves from the fixture list to your history.

Iker Casillas and Stake
Football holds a central place in Stake's sports offering.

Find your match

In Sports, choose the sport, then the competition. The menu brings together future fixtures under “Upcoming” and events already underway under “Live”. You can also start with popular events on the homepage.

Open the match that interests you. For our example, we choose an upcoming football match. Its screen shows available markets and odds. If you are new to the platform, the sign-up guide covers account creation and access conditions.

Choose a selection

On a full-time 1X2 market, 1 means a home win, X a draw and 2 an away win. In our example, clicking 1 at 2.00 adds the selection to the bet slip.

The market’s full name explains what counts for the result. A regulation-time win and a win including extra time can produce different outcomes. Handicap, total and goalscorer markets have their own criteria, available in the details.

Enter the stake on your slip

The bet slip shows the match, market and selection. With €10 at 2.00, it displays a potential return of €20, including the stake: €10 stake and €10 profit if the selection wins.

Odds can move before confirmation. Depending on your settings, a new price is offered or accepted automatically; the slip then shows the corresponding return. Minimum bets depend on currency and market.

With one selection, you are placing a single. To combine matches or markets from one match, the bet types guide explains accumulators, systems and Bet Builder.

Confirm and find your bet

The summary should match your choice: the right match, intended market, selection, odds and the €10 in our example. Then confirm the slip.

Your bet appears in My Bets, with its stake, potential return and status. If the home team wins under the chosen market’s rules, the return is credited to your balance. If the selection loses, the €10 bet is lost. The slip then moves into history.

What if you change your mind?

Once confirmed, the market and stake cannot be changed. On some slips, Cash out lets you close the bet for the amount offered in My Bets. That amount can be below the stake, and the option is not always available.

Some pre-match bets may offer 100% cash out when the odds have not changed. Check the amount displayed on your slip: availability depends on the bet.

If the match is postponed or cancelled

A postponement may leave the bet active if the match is played within the period specified by that sport’s rules. A larger change to date, venue or opponent can lead to it being voided.

A cancelled, or void, selection is generally settled at 1.00: a single’s stake is returned; in an accumulator, the other selections remain active. Market details explain special cases.

The same route applies to other sports: event, market, selection, slip, then My Bets. The Stake sportsbook guide covers the sports, live betting, streaming and odds formats.
