Stake OriginalStake Mines: rules, multipliers and payout table
Gems to reveal and a cashout to choose: find the Mines rules and multipliers for every setup.
By The Gambling Desk · Published · Verified
A grid, gems and hidden mines: Mines comes down to a choice after each successful pick. Cash out now or reveal another tile? The number of mines sets the pace of the round and the rise in multipliers.
Reveal a gem or cash out
The grid contains 25 tiles. Choose your bet and between 1 and 24 mines, then the round begins. A gem increases the multiplier; a mine ends the round and loses the bet.
After each gem, Cashout collects the displayed return. While you continue, that return stays in play. The grid’s shape and previous rounds do not reveal hidden positions.
The Mines controls
Inside the Stake interface
Stake Original Mines in pictures
The left panel groups the bet amount, mine count and Manual and Auto modes. The grid sits in the centre, alongside the round’s multiplier.
In manual mode, you click each tile. Random selection makes that choice for you. Auto repeats a configuration and lets you set up a series of rounds; its probabilities are the same as manual play.
What the number of mines changes
With one mine, 24 of 25 tiles are safe on the first pick: the first gem pays 1.03×. With 10 mines, 15 tiles remain safe and the first gem is worth 1.65×. With 24 mines, there is just one safe tile, at 24.75×.
That is the central Mines setting: more mines mean fewer safe tiles and higher multipliers. The grid stays the same size, but the round feels very different.
Mines multiplier table
Find the mine count in the first column, then the number of gems revealed: 1g, 2g, and so on. With one mine, you read 1.03× after one gem and 1.08× after two. Empty cells indicate impossible combinations because there are not enough gems available.

Read a cashout amount
The multiplier includes your bet. With 10 units cashed out at 2×, you receive 20 units: the original 10 plus 10 profit. If you continue and reveal a mine, the previous return is not paid.
To compare two configurations, keep the same number of gems and look at what changing the mine count does. That is more useful than comparing only the table’s largest multipliers.
Verify a round
Mines uses Stake’s provably fair system. Once the server seed is revealed, the game data lets you check how positions were calculated. Verification covers a completed round; it does not reveal the next safe tiles.
Frequently asked questions
Can I cash out after just one gem?
Yes. One safe tile is enough to use Cashout at the displayed multiplier.
What does Random Pick do?
It selects a tile at random, without information about hidden mines.
Are more mines a better setting?
They increase the multiplier for success and reduce its probability. The choice changes volatility, not the house edge.
